Sustainability with HEBERGER
As a future-oriented company, we view environmental protection and sustainability as fundamental principles for preserving our planet. With a strong sense of responsibility toward an environmentally friendly future, we embrace green technologies and renewable energy to minimize our ecological footprint and make a positive impact on the environment. However, sustainability means even more to us.
Fair Working Conditions, Respect, and Equality
Our Philosophy
As a family business in its third generation, social sustainability is a key aspect of our development. We place great importance on fair working conditions and fostering a work environment defined by respect, diversity, and equality for our employees. In addition to promoting an active internal community, we are also committed to supporting our local community and social projects. At HEBERGER, we firmly believe that social cohesion makes us stronger and enables us to drive positive change toward a sustainable future.
Sustainability and Environmental Protection
Commitments
In recent years, the construction industry has gained increasing importance in the realms of sustainability and environmental protection. Given the growing challenges of climate change and resource scarcity, the need for sustainable construction is more urgent than ever.
We contribute by guiding clients from the initial sketches to turnkey handover along a sustainable path. A key approach to reducing building emissions is the use of eco-friendly materials such as recycled components, wood, and natural stone. Through efficient planning and the implementation of sustainable building concepts, both operational costs and the ecological footprint of buildings can be significantly reduced.
As a member of the DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council), we actively promote the development of sustainable buildings externally and leverage this ever-expanding knowledge for both certified and other construction projects.

Sustainability and Environmental Protection
What We Have Achieved So Far!
E-Car Charging Stations at Headquarters
Since 2017, we have been providing charging stations for use by our own fleet as well as for the vehicles of our clients and employees.
Waste-to-Energy
Our subsidiary Markstahler+Barth GmbH in Karlsruhe uses solar energy and recycled wood chips from its own production. This not only significantly reduces waste but also substantially lowers the CO2 emissions of its building operations.
Our Sustainability Standards
An external and neutral perspective supports our sustainable efforts and active commitment to protecting the environment. As a result, our environmental management system has been audited and certified according to ISO 14001:2015.
To ensure transparency in our sustainability initiatives, our subsidiary HTI GmbH has been evaluated by EcoVadis. This provides guidance for our customers and motivates us to continuously improve our sustainability practices.
