After a construction period of only around 3 years, a six-storey perimeter block development was built, which opens up to the outside through four openings and breakthroughs. The interior open space provides private gardens for the residents, as well as communal green areas, recreational areas and play facilities. The architectural language is characterised by varying heights and façade depths, thereby emphasising the identity of individual houses within the perimeter block development. All flats will be orientated towards the south and west in order to take advantage of the unique views of Schwetzinger Terrasse and Langer Anger. The special energy efficiency of Bahnstadt, by maintaining the passive house standard, is also guaranteed in this development. Innovative commercial units are planned for the ground floor, offering the possibility of combining work and living. A total of around 165 residential units with living spaces of 30 – 150 m² and three commercial units with a total of approx. 700 m² of usable space and the adjoining underground car park are planned.
